Description

Bolesław Chrobry High School no 4 at 1 Sikorski Square in Bytom. The building functioning from the start as a high school was erected in the years 1901-1902 in Art Nouveau style by the city architect Carl Brugger. The construction of the building is modelled on the Viennese Secession solutions. The elevation is faced with white and cobalt glaze with a rich geometric, floral, zoomorphic, and anthropomorphic detail. The large coat of arms of Bytom placed in the central part of the facade from the side of the square as well as a cylindrical clock turret with a bell covered with a small dome are characteristic features of the building.
